Nick Crighton

Cultural Awareness Training Consultant

Nick Crighton is a proud nêhiyaw (Cree) man and father from Waterhen Lake First Nation, located in Treaty 6 Territory in Saskatchewan. With a deep commitment to Indigenous engagement and community development, Nick has worked across the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Throughout his career, he has delivered Indigenous Awareness and Truth and Reconciliation training to more than 3,000 individuals across Canada.

His clients include the Government of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan, ISM Canada, Conexus Credit Union, Saskatchewan Trucking Association, SaskTel, Phoenix Group, and Scotiabank, among many others.

Nick is passionate about preserving Indigenous languages and culture, and he uses his anti-colonial training and Indigenous worldviews to create meaningful learning experiences. Through his work, he aims to dispel common misconceptions, empower participants, and provide the tools needed to navigate conversations about reconciliation in workplaces, schools, and homes. He believes education is key to bridging the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities—so we can all connect, prosper, and heal together.
