Account Coordinator
Rebecca Tootoosis is a proud nêhiyawiskwêw (Plains Cree woman) from Saddle Lake Cree Nation, bringing over a decade of professional experience in customer service, leadership, and business administration. With a strong foundation in business studies, Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management, from the University of Saskatchewan’s at Edwards School of Business, as well as a Business Management Diploma from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Her academic journey included a unique opportunity to study in Geneva, Switzerland, where she engaged with global organizations such as the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, and the International Labour Organization. These experiences provided her with a deeper understanding of international governance and economic development, while reinforcing the importance of integrating Indigenous perspectives in global dialogues.
In her professional career, Rebecca has excelled in roles that require exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. As a Customer Care Specialist, Sales/Marketing Representative, and Administrative Coordinator, she has consistently exceeded expectations by building meaningful relationships, managing complex accounts, and driving team success. Her ability to lead and inspire was evident early on when she served as President of the Graduation Committee at SIAST Woodland Campus, organizing fundraisers and a successful graduation ceremony.
In addition to her professional achievements, Rebecca is deeply rooted in her Plains Cree culture and community. She actively participates in traditional ceremonies, such as sweats, Sun dances, and Pow Wows, and works to preserve and share her cultural knowledge with others. She also contributes to her community through volunteer work, including preparing meals for vulnerable populations and advocating for intergenerational healing within Indigenous communities.
Rebecca is passionate about using her expertise to encourage positive change, both within organizations and the wider Indigenous communities. Her dedication to leadership, collaboration, and cultural advocacy continues to drive her mission of building bridges between business excellence and social responsibility.
