Makayla Douglas

Summer Student

Makayla Douglas is a 3^rd Year Graphic Design and Advertising student from the Alberta University of the Arts, minoring in Illustration. She grew up in the Saskatoon area on Treaty 6 territory, with a deep love for fine art and creating. Her Indigenous ancestry is a core part of her identity, and it informs both her values and creative practice. She is passionate about supporting Indigenous voices through art and design. Makayla is excited to be a part of the Creative Fire team this summer and looks forward to contributing her creativity, passion, and perspectives to their projects.
