Margaret Reynolds is a cherished Elder, accomplished ribbon skirt maker, and residential school survivor from English River First Nation. She lives in La Plonge reserve in northern Saskatchewan.
Margaret made her directorial debut with the film Waniska: An Awakening of Indigenous Knowledge, a powerful exploration of Indigenous teachings, resilience, and the continuity of cultural knowledge. A respected Elder and lifelong educator, she has dedicated her life to preserving and sharing traditional teachings, guiding others to reconnect with culture, language, and identity.
Through her artistry, mentorship, and storytelling, Margaret continues to inspire new generations to take pride in who they are and where they come from. Her leadership and lived experience bring depth, authenticity, and compassion to every project she contributes to.
