Communications and Community Engagement Consultant
Kira Nelson is a Métis communications and engagement professional who brings a steady, grounded approach to complex work. With a strong foundation in project management and strategic delivery, she supports multi-stream initiatives,keeping projects aligned, organized, and moving forward.
Kira works closely with communities, building relationships with youth, Elders, and local partners to ensure engagement is respectful, practical, and rooted in context. She creates space for community voices through facilitation and careful listening while also helping teams navigate logistics, timelines, and competing priorities.
In addition to her consulting work, Kira has over 20 years of experience as a professional photographer in the advertising industry, shaping her eye for detail and strengthening her approach to visual storytelling.
Outside of work, Kira is a nationally certified cross-country ski coach and co-founded a non-profit program for Indigenous youth, driven by a passion to make sport more accessible.
