Brett Bradshaw

Director, Communications and Engagement

Brett Bradshaw believes meaningful engagement is not consultation but a culture. She has a breadth of experience working for and with Indigenous communities, particularly those in northern Saskatchewan. Brett serves a variety of clients working to increase cultural competency, community resiliency and advance Reconciliation. This includes English River First Nation, Westbank First Nation, College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and SaskPower.

Brett’s career began with Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and focused on reaching new audiences and reflecting underrepresented voices on the air. She received a Gemini Television Award for her short feature, It’s Good to be Woodland Cree and numerous awards, including a New York Festivals Awards for the series Red Road Forward that followed the stories of residential school survivors forging their own path to healing on the George Gordon First Nation.  

Brett led the northern communications strategy at Cameco Corporation for seven years and supported a suite of programs focused on Indigenous participation. From there she worked with clients like Rio Tinto, Yáthi Néné Lands and Resource Office and the John Howard Society before joining Creative Fire in 2020. With experience in business and workforce development, community investment and community engagement, Brett brings an intentional approach to holistic and fluid community engagement strategies, relationship building, and communications. She lives on Treaty Six territory in Saskatoon.
